🏖️ Holly Township Beach is Open for the Season! 🏖️

Come enjoy the summer at Holly Township Beach!

📅 Hours of Operation
☀️ June & July: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
☀️ August through Labor Day: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

🚧 Beach Bathroom Renovations Underway
We are currently renovating the beach restroom facilities to improve the visitor experience.

During construction:

🚻 A portable restroom is available on-site.
🚻 Additional restroom facilities are available next door at Lakeside Memorial Park.

🍿 Concessions Update
Concessions will be returning soon! Until then, visitors are encouraged to bring their own snacks and refreshments. We will provide updates as soon as concessions become available.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to improve the facilities and amenities at the beach. We hope you’ll come out and enjoy the sunshine, swimming, and beautiful views at Holly Township Beach this summer!

Stay tuned for additional updates regarding the restroom renovations and concession stand.

🔥 Park Closed Today – Prescribed Burn at Sorensen Park 🔥

Sorensen Park is closed today while a prescribed burn is being conducted by PlantWise.

🚫 No public access is permitted at any time today. This includes all trails and park areas.

Prescribed burns are an important part of maintaining the health of our natural areas by supporting native plants and reducing invasive species.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while this work is completed safely.

🌎 We Need Your Help This Earth Day 🌱

Holly Township Parks and Recreation is calling on our community to step up and make a real difference at Sorensen Park.

This isn’t just an event.. it’s a chance to build something lasting for our community.

We’re creating a demonstration garden, improving the park, and tackling invasive species and we can’t do it without volunteers.

👨‍👩‍👧 Bring the kids for fun activities like scavenger hunts and planting seeds
🌿 Jump in and help with real projects like building garden beds, planting trees, and cleaning up the park

🧤 Show up ready to work
Wear long sleeves, pants, and closed toe shoes
Bring gloves and tools if you have them

👉 Even one hour of your time makes a difference

PFAS Community Meeting – Important Information for Holly Residents

PFAS has been identified in Bush Lake, and there have been occasions when the Holly Township Beach has closed due to PFAS foam conditions.

The Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART) will be hosting a public meeting to provide updates on PFAS investigations, groundwater testing results, and potential health impacts.

While this is not a Holly Township Parks and Recreation event, it is highly relevant to our community and to those who use our parks and beach.

Residents are encouraged to attend or participate online to stay informed and ask questions.

🌼🐝 Learn About Pollinators with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service! 🦋🌿

Holly Township Parks is proud to once again partner with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Genesee County 4-H to bring another great educational opportunity to our community!

Join us as Cole Fisher returns to the Sorensen Park Nature Center to talk about something that impacts all of us — pollinators.

This session will cover:
• Endangered pollinators
• Pollinator gardens
• Threats to pollinators
• How YOU can help protect them

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and learn about native and endangered species right here in Michigan!
