Marshall County, MS. Emergency Management Agency has asked the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief and the American Red Cross to assist in Marshall County due to Saturday's severe weather event. To report damage to your property or if you need assistance with debris removal, the Baptist Disaster Relief team can assist. They will start with the elderly and special needs. Other assistance will be provided by the American Red Cross. To receive assistance or report damage, you can call the Marshall County, MS. Emergency Management office at (662) 333-1151 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. **If you have roof damage related to this storm that has caused or will leak, please call (662) 333-1151 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM) so that we can arrange to bring tarps to you. ***HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911 ***

**The Marshall County, MS. Sheriff's Department family would like to CONGRATULATE our Deputies pictured below on their SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION of the latest L.E.A.P.S. Class (Class # 174) yesterday, July 30, 2026 presented at the Lafayette County Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy !!
The L.E.A.P.S. (Mississippi Law Enforcement Alliance for Peer Support) program offers support services and training for officers and other personnel who have encountered or had to respond to high-stress events, including officer-involved shootings, line-of-duty deaths, and other job-related interventions and stress issues. They also help officers with family/relationship issues and non-job issues.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating ANOTHER SCAM involving an unknown male calling residents, claiming to be Investigator Weeks, saying that you have missed Jury Duty or a Court Date and that a Warrant has been or will be issued for your arrest. Also, the caller has said that you must go to the Sheriff's Department to turn yourself in or you will be arrested. The phone number may show as a "252-" number or a BLOCKED or UNKNOWN CALLER number.

JUNE 10, 2026 is the LAST DAY to apply for individual assistance from FEMA for residents affected by the January 23 - 27 winter storms. FEMA representatives will be on site at the old National Guard Armory which is now Holly Springs Fire Station # 2 at 720 Salem Avenue in Holly Springs until June 13, 2026. HOWEVER, NO NEW applications will be accepted after June 10th.
