We had a great time today at the State of the Ozarks Festival. Lots of folks came out and enjoyed all the vendors and activities. We appreciate all the Hollister City workers that spent their Saturday helping out. See you all at the Grape Fest.

Today as we remember the 9/11 tragedy. I look back on my law enforcement journey that started on that very day. We remember our first responders that lost their lives to save lives putting their own at risk. We remember all the lives lost and will never forget.

It takes a special person to want to serve a community and want to put themselves in harms way to save lives. I want to thank all of our local Law enforcement, Fire fighters, Emergency medical responders, and our Hospital personnel for doing exactly that.

I am so proud of this Hollister crew for dealing with all the changes that have happened over the past nine months. Hollister is lucky to have these men and women taking care of their city.

The Hollister Police Department is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a member of our Missouri State Highway Patrols law enforcement family.

My wife and I have known the Henderson family for many years. I first began working alongside Trooper Justin Henderson more than twenty years ago, and over the years, our friendship grew into a brotherhood. We have also had the privilege of knowing Haley since she and Colten were just teenagers.

Our hearts are broken for Colten, Averiegh, Waylen and the entire Henderson and Hahn families. We are keeping each of them in our thoughts and prayers as they try to navigate through this unimaginable and incredibly difficult time.

“ The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” - Psalm 34:18

Please join us in offering our deepest condolences, love, and prayers to the Henderson and Hahn family.
