Beaver Brook Activities at the Lawrence Barn, July 10, 5–7 p.m. Join the team at the tent behind the barn for hands-on nature fun: touch an animal pelt, guess the s**t, and learn more about exciting fall programming, including wild flower walks, forest preschool, homeschool science, fitness walks, and so much more! This will be a great opportunity to ask questions of the Beaver Brook staff and explore the natural world up close. (Rain or shine) What a wonderful resource Beaver Brook Association is in our town. Stop by their tent to get an even better understanding of all that they offer.

What a beautiful night on the common as we kicked off the 250th festivities with a concert by the Hollis Town Band. A very special thanks to Lynea Zaborowski for singing the National Anthem and God Bless America. And, everyone enjoyed cake and ice cream served by members of the Congregational Church. We appreciate Select Board Chair David Petry opening our concert last evening with a presentation to Hollis' oldest resident--who received a police es**rt to the common! And, thank you to the Hollis Historical Society for sponsoring the band. If you weren't there, you missed out. But, you'll have another opportunity to join us on Saturday, July 4, at 10 a.m. for a commemoration of our nation's birthday.
