Around 18:20 hours the Hollis Fire Department responded to 22 Clinton Dr for a fire alarm activation. While crews were enroute, dispatch advised of a 911 caller reporting smoke inside the building.

Upon arrival, crews encountered a haze in the front of the building and investigated further. Tower 1 arrived and set up on the Bravo side of the building. Crews located a malfunctioning rooftop HVAC unit with a burned motor that was pushing smoke into the building.

The unit was shut down and secured for safety, and crews ventilated the building to clear the smoke. No injuries were reported and all hazards were mitigated.
