Harmon Electric Association, Inc. Harmon Electric Association, Inc. is a member-owned electric cooperative with headquarters in Hollis, OK.

Each day we bring the power of electric energy to farm, residential, commercial and industrial accounts in Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas. Using power purchased from Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (WFEC), we provide electricity to over 3,400 meters throughout portions of Harmon, Greer, Jackson, Kiowa & Beckham counties in Oklahoma and Hardeman & Childress counties in Texas.

Please know that Harmon Electric is here for you, and we understand your concern about your electric bill after record low temperatures for several days in a row caused electric usage to increase. If you need to discuss your bill with us, or if you are on the automatic draft and need to make other arrangements, please call the office during normal business hours. Effective at 9:20 a.m. CT, Feb. 19, SPP is no longer under an energy emergency alert. Due to continuing high loads & other impacts of severe cold weather, SPP remains in a period of conservative operations until 10 p.m. CT, Feb. 20, for the entire SPP balancing authority area.

Effective at 6:25 p.m. CT, SPP declared an Energy Emergency Alert Level 1, meaning all available generation resources in its 14-state balancing authority area are committed to meet forecasted electricity demand.

We are back up to a Energy Emergency Alert Level 1. We urge our members to continue to conserve energy as much as possible and greatly appreciate your cooperation. Keep in mind the high energy users are your clothes dryer, electric oven, electric water heater and any kind of electric heat. Thank you!

As of 9:30 a.m. CT, Feb. 18, SPP is no longer under an energy emergency alert. Due to continuing high loads & other implications of severe cold weather, it remains in a period of conservative operations until 10 p.m. CT, Feb. 20, for the entire SPP balancing authority area.

Harmon Electric would like to thank our awesome members for conserving energy the past few days and ask that you please continue to do so through 10 p.m. CT, Saturday, Feb. 20.

ROLLING BLACKOUT UPDATE: At the present time, Thursday, February 18th, the Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) is at Level 1, which means no rolling blackouts will occur at this time.

At 6:20 p.m. CT on Feb. 17, SPP declared an Energy Emergency Alert Level 2, which requires SPP to direct its member companies to issue public conservation appeals. The alert will remain in effect until further notice.
Harmon Electric strongly encourages all members to conserve energy. Electrical appliances that use the largest amount of electricity in your home are any kind of electric heat, clothes dryers, electric ovens and electric water heaters. Limiting the use of these appliances as much as possible and consider lowering your thermostat to 68 degrees. We appreciate our members and how willing you are to help when needed. Thank you!
