Public Safety Communications Specialist (Dispatcher)

The Town of Hollis, is seeking full-time and part-time Public Safety Communications Specialists (Dispatchers) for the communications center.

The Communications Specialist works independently with extreme accuracy, utilizes good judgement, exercise problem solving skills, and communicate effectively. Essential duties include maintaining radio contact with public safety agencies (Police, Fire, EMS & DPW); answering 911 and other emergency calls; analyzing and determining call priority, operating computer and office equipment; clearing and succinctly dispatching and coordinating Police, Fire and EMS responses to incidents that originate with 911, non-emergency calls, and radio calls.

The hourly pay range is $23.24 to $30.32 based on experience, and includes a competitive benefit package. The town is offering a one-time sign-on bonus in the amount of $5,000 for full-time candidates, paid in two installments.
