Hollis Center Public Library

Hollis Center Public Library The Library provides materials and services to help community residents obtain information to meet their educational, personal and technological needs.

The Library serves as an educational and recreational resource for all residents of the town. The Hollis Center Public Library makes available a wide range of books, audio books, magazines, DVD's and VHS tapes. Downloadable e books are also available through the website using your library number, and virtually any book you want can be obtained through the interlibrary loan service. But this librar

y offers much, much more. It also serves as a meeting place for social service providers and academic tutors. It provides free wifi connection around the clock which can even be accessed from the parking lot. There are also 3 computers available to the public during library hours. In addition to adult books there is a large Children's Reading Room on the lower floor that offers more than 6,000 books as well as board games, legos and other toys to entertain the little ones. Story time is held every Monday (except public holidays) from 10:00 - 11:00 and typically ends with a craft. February and Summer Reading Programs are held each year to encourage reading among children and adults and prizes are made available to increase the fun!

Did you know the Hollis Center Public Library has been serving our community for over 100 years? πŸ“š

Through every decade, every generation, every change in our town β€” this library has been here. It has been a constant, free, welcoming presence in Hollis.

Now it's our turn to give something back.

The Opening Doors Campaign is about honoring that history by ensuring the library's next 100 years are accessible to everyone. A building this beloved deserves an entrance that says "you belong here" β€” to every single person who approaches it.

This project is for the Story Time mom pushing a stroller up an uneven ramp.

It's for the veteran who uses a wheelchair and hasn't been inside our library in years.

It's for the 80-year-old who loves Book Club but struggles with the steps.

It's for every neighbor who has driven past our library and thought "I wish I could go in."

The Hollis Center Public Library belongs to all of Hollis. Help us make sure everyone knows it.
