Saturday is Frontier Living Day. Explore what life was like for those who were not fighting in the revolution and how women contributed. Discover what handicrafts were popular during the American Revolution. Learn what clothes would have been popular at the time. Spend the whole day and listen to music from the time while enjoying a picnic lunch from the concession stand.
Sunday is Military Day. Discover what life was like on the frontier for the men who lived and served at Fort Roberdeau. Learn what it would take to be a ranger and militia man on the wild frontier. Help to celebrate the Army’s birthday by visiting Fort Roberdeau.
Spread the word! Bring a friend or two and help celebrate the men and women who impacted Fort Roberdeau while learning something new. Celebrate Fort Roberdeau’s 50th Bicentennial Reconstruction Anniversary.

Congratulations, Penncrest High School on winning the State Pennsylvania Envirothon competition!

We just redesignated 98 streams across the state as high quality waters—expanding protections for more than 530 miles of clean water. 💙

This upgrade builds on earlier work from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, which had already found these streams packed with wild trout and recognized them among the Commonwealth’s highest-quality cold-water fisheries.

Now these waterways get stronger protections, healthier habitats, and even better spots for fishing, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors.
