Back by popular demand for the fourth year, the Lindy Sisters performed for our residents at Eisenhower Hall. The Lindy Sisters, who are based out of California but with roots in central Pennsylvania, are masters of 1940's melodies with three-part harmony, costumes and choreography reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters.

Their performance was a wonderful way to kick off Flag Day weekend and State Veterans’ Homes week!

During the warm weather months, residents of the Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home (HVH) enjoy visits from Victory Therapeutic Horsemanship. This non-profit organization was founded to provide veterans in central Pennsylvania with beneficial equine therapy. In addition to the programs held at their facility in Bellwood, the organization runs VictoryVisits, a mobile outreach program for veterans residing in assisted living facilities, designed to engage senior veterans and improve quality of life by bringing the many benefits of equine therapy directly to them. Since their first visit to HVH in 2022, the VictoryVisits have become a very popular activity among our residents.

Arnold Hall residents enjoyed bingo June 1, sponsored by Roaring Spring Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary # 7689. As they do every month, members of the auxiliary visited the Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home (HVH) to spend time with our residents and help with bingo. We are grateful to the VFW Auxiliary and many other local service organizations who donate, visit and volunteer at activities for HVH residents.
