🚨 OFFICIAL NOTICE – DELINQUENT REAL ESTATE TAXES 🚨
The City of Holland has compiled a list of properties with unpaid real estate taxes for the years 2020–2025.

Multiple attempts have been made to contact most property owners listed; however, responses have not been received.
⚠️ Properties that are more than three (3) years delinquent will be submitted for tax sale auction later this year, in accordance with Missouri law.

Please understand:
• The names listed are the CURRENT property owners.
• Real estate taxes attach to the property — not the individual owner.
• If you purchased a property with prior unpaid taxes, you are responsible for those taxes unless a written agreement clearly assigns that responsibility to the previous owner.

If you, or someone you know, appears on this list, you are urged to contact City Hall during regular business hours immediately to resolve the outstanding balance or make payment arrangements.
Failure to respond may result in the property being included in the upcoming tax sale.

Attention:

Our trash day is changing! Trash will no longer be picked up on Tuesday. This coming Monday, March 2, 2026, our trash will now be picked up on MONDAYS.

❗❗Urgent Public Notice❗❗

The City currently has a significant number of residents with unpaid tax balances, including both current Personal Property and Real Estate taxes, as well as multiple prior‑year delinquencies. If you are unsure whether you have an outstanding balance, please contact City Hall immediately to verify your account.

If these taxes remain unpaid, the City will be required to publish a list of delinquent accounts. Final Notice letters will also be issued. Due to the volume of unpaid taxes, the City will begin initiating tax liens on properties when necessary to ensure proper collection. This is a legal obligation, and while it is not the action we prefer to take, it will proceed if accounts are not brought current.

Multiple attempts have already been made to contact taxpayers by phone and by mail. This notice serves as an additional and urgent effort to reach those who have not responded.

If you have questions or need to check your balance, please contact me at City Hall during regular office hours at 573‑695‑4967.

Thank you, City Clerk
