Texas Task Force 1 is in the area and available to assist local agencies if emergency response efforts become necessary.

This boat squad is made up of firefighters from Gainesville Fire Department and Bryan Fire Department who are specially trained in swift water rescue operations.

We appreciate these crews being ready to respond and support our local agencies should conditions require specialized resources. Thank you for your commitment, training, and willingness to serve where needed.

Stay safe and continue to use caution around flooded areas and moving water.

Good morning, Precinct 2. Here’s a live look this morning at Summer’s Mill along Salado Creek on FM 1123. Please remain vigilant around low water crossings and flood prone areas over the next 10 days as additional rainfall is expected across our area. Make preparations accordingly, allow extra travel time, and never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. Stay safe and continue monitoring local weather conditions.
