🚧MONCLOVA & WVILLE MONCLOVA
Paving on the roundabout is largely complete. The rain slowed down crews a bit this week but they are still on track to complete by next week (week of Sept. 14). After finishing the paving, we have striping, signage, seeding and some final minor tasks. We are almost there folks.

The subcontractor doing the paving is also completing the thin overlay resurfacing of Monclova Road from the bridge just west of Coder to the roundabout limits and then from the new roundabout to Lose. We planned and chose to do this work while the roundabout was under construction and the road was already closed as to minimize disruptions for drivers.

The temporary access path on Monclova Rd connected to the north lot remains CLOSED to thru traffic and is for emergency vehicles and school buses only.

REMINDER: There is also still access to local businesses like the US Post Office, Freeze Daddys Ice Cream, Monclova Community Center and Anthony Wayne Tire & Auto Repair.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE 🚧
Bancroft St will be closed at the bridge just east of Langenderfer Rd, beginning SEPTEMBER 14, for bridge repairs.

Weather permitting

🚧 WHAT TO EXPECT:
The road will be closed to all traffic at the bridge. Traffic will still be able to go through north/south on Lagenderfer Rd but will not be able to turn left to go east on Bancroft.

Please follow posted detour signs to keep our workers safe.

Please follow posted detour signs to keep our workers safe. If you are coming from the west to drop off your kids at nearby Sylvania Schools, save the map and share to your fellow parents. Kilburn and Brint will be your best friends for the next month.

🚧UPT RESURFACING STARTS WED AT SECOR
Expect rolling closures with crews closing one section of the University Parks Trail at a time between intersections or pins on the map. When they are finished with one section, they will reopen, move west onto the next section and close that and so forth.

📆This week, crews will start on the trail between Secor Rd and Richard’s Rd on Wednesday, Aug. 26, with crack sealing. Crack sealing the entire UPT should be complete by the end of the week. When crews reached the portion from Holland Sylvania Rd to McCord Rd, they will also be completing some small pavement repairs.

👷‍♂️ Next week, crews will begin resurfacing work, once again starting at Secor and moving west. Expect daily closures one section at a time until resurfacing is complete. Closure signs will be posted near the public entrances to each section.

We can’t give exact time periods when each section will be closed because it’ll depend how long it takes them to complete their work. So trail users should be prepared to encounter closures at different times on different days.
