ARCHBOLD WHITEHOUSE/PNS ROUNDABOUT
The fourth of our five roundabouts this season will be coming to Archbold Whitehouse Road and Providence Neapolis Road this summer. We were awarded a safety grant back in 2021 for this project after the five-year period from 2016-2020 saw 11 total crashes, six of them causing injury, including one serious injury. Over 70% of the crashes were angle or left-turn crash types.

Because of the delays concerning utility relocations at Monclova and Albon Road, all other roundabout projects have been delayed as well, but we tentatively expect to start construction sometime in late July or early August. We will announce that start date and road closure details as soon as it's set in stone.

🚧 ROAD WORK🚧
Our road maintenance garage started our annual chip seal work this week. Chip seal is a low-cost preventative maintenance treatment that extends the life of low-volume traffic roads that aren't yet in need of a full resurfacing or reconstruction.

The roundabout will be closed during working hours each day while crews complete the resurfacing. Drivers should plan alternate routes such as Dorr and Hill for E/W and expect delays in the area.

ℹ️ WHY:
The asphalt is showing typical wear and it is time for a full resurfacing to replace the aging roadway.

CRISSEY ROAD
ROAD RESURFACING
Thanks for everyone's patience and cooperation this week as The Gerken Companies crews wrapped up paving the over two-mile stretch of Crissey Road from Airport Highway to US 20A. Some landscaping work still remains along with permanent thermo striping, but the blacktop is ready for cars this weekend. Stay safe and have a great weekend!

Good refresher for those that forget that keeping a reasonable distance from your fellow drivers isn’t a recommendation, it’s the law. If you get into an accident because of this, you will be cited. Driving is a privilege, not a right. Pay attention and keep everyone safe on the road.
