Holland Department of Public Safety - Police Services Our department provides public safety services to the population of and visitors to Holland City

Our public safety department is merged as police and fire services. Our officers / fire fighters are not cross trained so we maintain our separate disciplines. Our department’s Mentorship Program has been creating opportunities to share knowledge, build relationships, and support personal/professional growth.
We’re highlighting some of those conversations through our Leadership Lounge podcast series. Investing in our people strengthens our team, supports continued growth, and helps us better serve our community. We’re proud of the progress our mentorship program is making and encourage everyone to give them a listen—you may hear something that resonates with you or offers a new perspective!

We recently attended the last neighborhood cookout of the season that brought residents, local businesses, and community partners together for an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship.

This event was made possible through a wonderful collaboration between PAX Work Studio, Boys & Girls Club, Westcore, and the Washington Square businesses. Partnerships like these help strengthen the connection between our community and the people who live, work, and serve here.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared a meal, enjoyed the festivities, and helped make WestFest a success! We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up for one another.

Last week we had the annual scholarship presentation where the Police Community Relations selects two recipients, one for each scholarship. One is a Criminal Justice Scholarship, and the other is a Perseverance Scholarship.

It was an honor for the PCR to help these to very deserving young adults to step successfully into their college careers.

The Holland Police Department needs your help in identifying the two subjects in the photos below. We are currently investigating several cases involving the destruction of property and believe these two individuals may have information to help detectives who are actively working the case. Some of the property that was damaged occurred at/near 16th and River. Please contact Detective Reinink at 616-355-1156 or email at [email protected] with any information.
