Critical budget decisions are happening now in Lansing, and your voice can help protect services for survivors.

Michigan lawmakers are deciding funding for programs that support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Without full funding, organizations across the state could face staff reductions, service cuts, or even closures, leaving survivors with fewer places to turn when they need help most.

πŸ’™ Here's how you can help:
β€’ Call or email your legislators today.
β€’ Ask them to fully fund the Crime Victim Rights Sustaining Grants at $45 million and R**e Prevention and Services at $7.2 million.
β€’ If you're comfortable, share why these services matter to you or your community. Personal stories make a powerful impact.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and heard. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

At Resilience, we serve all people. Healing and safety are not conditional here. They are for every identity, every story, every path toward support.

If you are experiencing abuse or do not feel safe in your relationship or home, support is available. You do not have to navigate it alone. Contact us to speak with someone who can help.

We are so grateful to the lovely women in the Women at Gentex group!

They showed up with baskets filled to the brim with paper towel, dish soap, clothing detergent, toilet cleaner, and more. All these items will go into our May Baskets shop for survivors to shop at no -cost to them.

Survivors have the autonomy to shop around, choose what they need and want, and support themselves and their families.

Thank you Women at Gentex for showing up for survivors. πŸ’™

Our community sure knows how to fill a room with joy and support for survivors.

Thank you to each and every person who not only showed up to our Denim & Desserts fundraiser in April, but who stayed for the mission long after the event ended.

Many supporters in this crowd show up in different ways: volunteers who welcome visitors at our front desk, board members who helped establish Resilience nearly 50 years ago and those helping lead us into the future, donors who chose to give even more after learning about our mission, and community members who donate clothing to support survivors as they rebuild their lives.

You were there. You are here. And you continue to make a difference for Resilience and the survivors who need a soft place to land.

There are myths about sexual assault that sound harmless on the surface, but they quietly shape whether survivors feel safe enough to seek help.

At Resilience, we know healing doesn’t begin with perfection or proof. It begins with care that listens, believes, and gives control back to the survivor.

We support survivors through sexual assault exams where reporting to law enforcement is not required. You decide when or if you want to report. Every step is your choice.

We also provide trauma-informed therapy and advocacy services that meet survivors where they are, not where systems expect them to be.

Share this post to help educate our community and show there is healing available here. πŸ’™
