Mental health matters, every single day.
The mental health millage plays a critical role in keeping essential services available for individuals and families in our community. From crisis response and counseling to support for children, veterans, and those facing substance use challenges, these resources provide a safety net when it’s needed most.
Because of this funding, people can access care earlier, reduce hospitalizations, and find stability during difficult times. It helps ensure that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.
Strong communities are built on support, compassion, and access to care; and the mental health millage helps make that possible.

Watch this video to see the meaningful impact it’s had on those who walk through the Y’s doors.

Adolescence is a time of rapid change, and mental health can be affected by everything from school demands and social relationships to self-esteem and future uncertainty. Many teens quietly navigate challenges such as anxiety, mood changes, or overwhelming stress without feeling sure where to turn. On CredibleMind, we’ll focus on normalizing these experiences, reducing stigma, and emphasizing the importance of safe, trusted environments. Support from parents, educators, coaches, and caregivers can make a powerful difference by encouraging open dialogue, offering reassurance, and helping teens feel seen, supported, and not alone.

Thanks to the continued support of our community, the Mental Health Millage has helped more than 21,850 people access the care, resources, and supports they need to thrive.
From crisis services and prevention programs to treatment, recovery, and community-based supports, millage funding ensures residents get help when they need it; no matter their insurance status or ability to pay.
This local investment strengthens our entire county, supports those who might otherwise fall through the cracks, and keeps the community in Community Mental Health.
