As U.S. Clubhouse Week of Action comes to a close, we are reflecting on the power of community based mental health support and the impact Clubhouses have across the country.

Did you know? Clubhouse participation in the U.S. is estimated to generate more than $682 million in savings each year through reduced hospitalizations, increased employment, and stronger community connection.

This week at Lakeside Clubhouse, we were proud to open our doors, share member stories, and highlight the importance of recovery oriented programs that help people pursue goals related to employment, wellness, purpose, and connection.

Yesterday, we welcomed Commissioner Jordan Jorritsma to Lakeside Clubhouse to meet members and learn more about our work. Members shared their experiences and the role the Clubhouse plays in supporting their goals related to employment, connection, and recovery.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share these stories during US Week of Action and to highlight the importance of strong, community based mental health supports like Clubhouse!

As programs of Cherry Health, Lakeside Clubhouse and our sister program Sheldon Clubhouse provide community based, recovery oriented services that empower people living with serious mental illness to pursue goals in employment, education, housing, and wellness.
