This family now has a home of their own. Their children have outdoor green space in which to play. Mom and Dad have a safe and stable home to raise their children. Statistically speaking, it also means educational outcomes, financial stability, and mental health outlooks are now considerably more positive for each member of this family.

Yesterday's home dedication marked Lakeshore Habitat's 18th and final home completed in the Vista Green neighborhood.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, sponsored, prayed, shopped, and partnered to give 18 families hope for a better future.

In this recent home repair project, we renovated a bathroom in need of repair at no cost to the homeowner, including the addition of external siding where the shower window was removed.

We're excited to introduce Myah, our new Homeownership Intern. Myah is a senior Social Work major at GVSU, and she will be working directly with our Homeowner Services Director over the next year to support the homeownership process from start to finish.

"I am looking forward to connecting with and learning from homeowners in the program and the Lakeshore Habitat team. I am excited to learn about the fundamentals of nonprofits and develop skills that I will use in my future career."

A conversation that started in 2024 is becoming a vision for the future. ✨

Together with Calvary Church, we're planning a new neighborhood that will provide affordable homeownership opportunities for 17 families.

"No problem!" said the Woodward, Inc. crew who volunteered with us last week at Ottawa Townhomes. This was a teamwork-in-action day that will make homeownership a reality for five local families.

Once a month, our volunteers look forward to donuts, muffins, coffee, and hot chocolate generously provided by Tim Hortons on Chicago Drive. As you can see, Tim Hortons day is always a hit! 🍩

The conversation around affordable housing matters—and we're excited to see it happening.

Our new partnership with Calvary Church represents a shared commitment to creating more housing opportunities for families in our community. We're grateful to see this story being shared.

The project is currently in predevelopment, with a goal to begin construction (pending approvals) in summer 2027.

Movement West Michigan gathered a group for Women Build to help install siding for five new homeowners in Holland. They met our faithful volunteers, including our beloved Sally, and got right down to work to get our two-plex wrapped in beautiful blue siding.
