A heads up to everyone!
Downtown Holdrege and the highways will be busy on Sunday the 7th from 8 am to 3:30 pm as the Race Week cars are required to stop and take a picture at the Eagles Club mural before heading to Kearney. Prepare for extra traffic and be safe!

Holdrege, Neb.-The annual Rocky Mountain Race Week gets underway this week. Rocky Mountain Race Week (RMRW) is the ultimate test of drag racers, competing on quarter mile strips every day for a week.

The City of Holdrege office and all of it's entities will be closed on Monday, May 25th in honor of Memorial Day.
We will re-open on Tuesday for normal business hours. If your bill or disconnect is due on Monday, it will be moved to Tuesday.

This weekend could be a little rocky. Be "weather aware" and have a safety plan in place. ⛈️🌪️

Sirens shouldn't be the only notice you rely on for severe weather information. Sirens are OUTDOOR Warnings only!! Its purpose is to let people who are outside and maybe not near a tv, radio or phone, know that something is happening. If you hear them you should go inside and check local media for more information!! Sirens are one tool we use to keep people as safe as possible!! They are used for straight line winds of 70+ mph, up to 2" hail, radar or weather service indicated rotation or a tornado on the ground.
