What are you doing on your Sat morning off from work???

Here's what your volunteers at Dist 10 were doing.... giving of their off time to train to be ready when the community needs them. It's a family thing at D10. Even the young get involved.

Special Thank you to AC Matt Jenkins & Capt Jacob Stewart of Dist 1 for coming out to support and Chief Foster for use of the training grounds.

16Hrs training at an approved training ground is required yearly in addition to many other hours of training for PIAL rating.
Your communities Fire Dept PIAL rating directly effects your homeowner & business insurance premiums.

As you slept, they were out working, slept a few hours then were off to their paid jobs. Although the shed was beyond saving the home within very close proximity was saved. Thanks for mutual aide from D6.

Warning!!!
Even though there is Not a Burn ban in place.
High wind gust and low humidity have created
weather conditions that are Not favorable for burning.

Multiple districts are fighting fires causing Forestry to have Extended arrival times.
Fires are getting into the woods where Fire trucks can't access.

You are responsible for any loss of neighbors property if fires you started are not contained.

Please help us keep everyone safe by choosing NOT to Burn.

Dist 10 Celebrating 40yrs!!
First meeting 6/5/85 & official incorporated date of 7/31/85

We were blessed to have the last surviving and original board member Mr. Marvin Oneillion who is 90yrs young as well as former Chief and Board member Mr Len Hodges & his wife Mrs Barbara Hodges. These 2 were our role models and have given us invaluable support.

We also caught up recognizing service year awards, Firefighter, EMR, Volunteer and Rookie of the year for the past 5 yrs since we haven't had an Appreciation dinner since Covid.

Chief Stewart was surprised with a beautiful award to commemorate his 40th year with Dist 10 & 23rd yr as Chief.
Chief Stewart attended the 1st meeting with his father Willis Stewart, at the old Camp Singing waters and at the age of 14 was taught to pump the 1st firetruck CC Sr purchased in part by Mr Curtis Cox and driven home by the 1st Chief Mr. Ray Gill who's son Charles Gill is a current board member.

The heritage is deep at Dist 10 and we whole heartedly appreciate the current board members, volunteers , their families, former members & community who continue to give their support to Dist 10.
Without everyone this Anniversary would not be possible.
