CASA of Navajo County

CASA of Navajo County Our mission is to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Arizona who are involved in the juvenile courts.

CASA volunteers learn all the information they can about a child’s case, regularly meet and listen to the child, attend court on the child’s behalf, and prepare an informed recommendation to the presiding judge. CASA of Arizona has been speaking up for abused and neglected children for over 25 years. Since the program began in 1985, CASA programs in Arizona have provided critical advocacy for more than 18,000 children.

Kinship care is defined as the full-time care, nurturing, and protection of children by relatives, members of their tribes or clans, godparents, stepparents, or any adult who has a close bond with a child. This arrangement is made when parents are unable to provide the necessary care. Kinship care is often seen as a culturally respectful way to maintain family ties and support children in need.
This month CASA honors those who have stepped in to care for these children in our communities. Thank you!

May is National Foster Care Month!

Right now, only 1 in 6 Arizona children living in foster care have a CASA Volunteer advocating for them. That means thousands of children are still waiting for someone to stand by their side.

CASA Volunteer Week (April 5–11) is a time to raise awareness, take action, and inspire change for youth living in foster care. You can make an impact by becoming a CASA volunteer or supporting Voices for CASA Children, helping us recruit, train, and sustain more advocates.
