Due to recent vandalism, the family restroom at the pool and splashpad is not available. The restroom was vandalized when the splashpad was open outside of pool hours. Someone broke the sink off the wall and has made it so the family restroom cannot be used until it is repaired. Unfortunately, damage to public property adversely impacts the community as a whole. Not only is the family restroom not available until it is repaired, our residents have to pay for the repairs.

HOISINGTON POOL CLOSING RULES

With rain and cool weather in the forecast, there is a good chance the pool may experience closures in the coming days. The City of Hoisington's pool policy indicates that the pool will not open if the temperature is not 70 degrees or higher. The pool will also be closed if thunder and lightning are observed. The general rule has been "If you hear it, clear it." The pool is to be clear of patrons for 30 minutes following each observation of thunder or lightning. The pool manager will make a decision regarding pool closure using their best judgement.

Harry S. Truman once said, “Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude.”

In an effort to allow our staff to take time to reflect on the sacrifices made by those in service to our country, our offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Here is some information regarding Memorial Day ceremonies.
