Thank you Whiteley Community for helping to raise money for this beautiful outdoor learning space! Our Spare Change Drive allowed for us to fully landscape this inviting corner in the back of the school. We are hoping to add some more tables over the coming months!

Congratulations! 2025-2026 Illinois PTA Teacher of the Year!
Yuko Nakagawa is beloved by the students, staff, and parent community of Frank C. Whiteley School and has been for the past 26 years. The Whiteley Community is a stronger and better place because of Yuko and her dedication to helping each child she encounters learn. She has a passion for teaching ESL students, special education students, and every child in between. Yuko is not a ‘watcher’, rather she is a ‘doer!’ She jumps into any activity with a positive attitude and an energy level that is hard to match. She does what’s best for students, not what’s easy.
Yuko is part of Frank C. Whiteley’s family and will be missed by so many when she retires.
