🔥👮 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics IL 👮🔥

This Sunday, June 7th, from approximately 7:30-9:00 A.M., the Hoffman Estates Police Department will participate in the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. During this time, portions of Golf Road between Barrington Road and Roselle Road will experience brief closures.

💙🏃‍♂️Know a Special Olympics athlete who would like to be part of the Torch Run?

Whether you're an athlete yourself or a family member looking to help someone get involved, contact our Community Relations Division at 847-781-2830 or [email protected].

The Torch Run is the largest fundraising and awareness event benefitting Special Olympics Illinois and continues the fundraising efforts many of you supported during last month's Cop on a Rooftop event. Funds raised help provide year-round training, competition, and opportunities for Special Olympics athletes across Illinois.

We appreciate your patience during this short closure and encourage motorists to plan for this brief delay.

Rain or shine, Freezy Friday was a success! Thanks to everyone that came out and thanks to Hoffman Estates Park District for helping make it a fun afternoon! 💙🚔🍧

Huge thanks to the Hoffman Estates Police Department for hanging out with us today at South Ridge Park (1450 Freeman Rd.) for our first Freezy Friday of the year. We had a good 30 minutes of fun until the skies opened up.

To everyone who had to book it and sprint to their cars: we hope your freeze pops survived the journey and you made a clean getaway. Stay dry, everyone! 🌧️ 🚔

🐾FOUND DOG 🐾

This friendly and handsome pup was found late last night and apparently decided our police department was the place to spend the night. While he's being a very well-behaved guest, we're sure he'd rather be back home with his family.

UPDATE: Transferred to Golf Rose Animal Hospital.

Last seen strutting around the 1700 block of Kensington Ln at approximately 5:50 PM, clearly on an unauthorized solo adventure.

If you recognize this wandering wigglebutt or know which human she claims as her staff, please contact the Hoffman Estates Police Department at (847) 781-2800 before she starts demanding snacks from the neighbors.

Because let’s be honest… she looks like she absolutely would.
