The Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Kentucky State Police, is currently investigating multiple cattle theft cases across Metcalfe, Barren, Hart, Adair, and Green counties. During the investigation, the shown ear tag was discovered and is suspected to have been removed from a stolen baby calf. We are asking for assistance in identifying the owner of the calf. If you recognize the markings on this tag, please contact Deputy Jarrod Steele at the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office. 270-432-3041. Thank you.

July 18, 2025- Congratulations to Harbour Powell - Junior Miss US Personality Supreme at AmeriFest Nationals in Cherokee NC. She also won several additional awards and recognitions. Representing her hometown of Hodgenville Ky.

We had some guests yesterday! Deputies Nick & Brittany Resendez from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department stopped in town with their children to check out Lincoln’s Birthplace. We did a little patch reading and made some new friends!
