Dancing Well Receives Third Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant!

We are thrilled to announce Dancing Well has received a $25,000 Creative Forces® Community Engagement grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This initiative seeks to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life for military and veteran populations exposed to trauma, as well as their families and caregivers. Dancing Well is one of just 48 organizations nationwide to receive this honor.

We are also featured in their grant promotional materials (see above)! The large photo on the right shows Dancing Well dancers alongside images from other Creative Forces grantees.

In the back right of the picture, you will also see Tom Cunningham, a musician who has been with Dancing Well since the beginning and who is a partner on this grant. Other partners include VA Whole Health, Volunteers of America Mid-States, and Louisville Country Dancers. We thank them for support of Dancing Well!

This grant requires a one-to-one cash match, so this year, funds raised through our regular September fundraiser will go toward matching funds. Please see below for details.

With your support, we can continue to take advantage of this generous funding.
