Senior Spotlight: Alexa Reeves

Alexa is graduating with the Class of 2026. She has participated in Chorus for multiple years of high school, as well as JMG for one year. She has played softball and basketball at various points throughout her high school career. Alexa’s community service experience involves putting flags on veterans' graves and volunteering at the food pantry, pet store, and animal shelter. She has participated in the Region Two Welding program for one year. Alexa enjoys singing, mudding, playing softball, snow sledding, and hanging out with friends. After high school, she plans to attend Cosmetology School and have a main focus in hair and lash extensions. Congratulations, Alexa!

Senior Spotlight: Evan Winship

Evan is graduating with the Class of 2026. Throughout his high school career, he has helped out his community through working at the Veterans’ Day Breakfast, chopping wood for other community members, and helping as Region Two Instructor in Adult Education. Evan has public speaking experience from working the Veterans’ Day Breakfast. He has participated in JMG for numerous years in high school, and he attends Youth Group and Bible Study. Evan has accomplished multiple important achievements, including being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, being recognized for Honor Roll and Student of the Month, and getting third place in the Skills USA competition. He has participated in the Region Two Welding and Electrical programs for one year each. Evan has worked at Doc’s Place as a Pump Attendant and currently runs his own haying business. In his free time, he enjoys farming, going to the gym, driving around to find new places, and fishing. He offers advice to others to always be your best self, but don’t forget to help others along the way. After high school, Evan plans to go to college at NMCC for a degree in Diesel Mechanics, keep working on his farm and haying business, and get a second job as a Diesel Mechanic. Congratulations, Evan!

Senior Spotlight: Delilah Jay

Delilah has accomplished a lot throughout her time in high school. She has been part of Student Council, Chorus, JMG, and has played Varsity Softball for four years. Through JMG, she has been an Officer for four years, earned the Maine Career Exploration Badge, and helped out at the Veteran’s Day Breakfast. Within the community, she has helped make cards and videos for various things, helped at Santa’s workshop, and participated in juggling shows. She was named a Captain of the Softball team and went to All-Aroostook for Chorus. She has been on Honor Roll, received Student of the Month, and earned second place in the science fair. Delilah spends her time babysitting, working at Dunkin, doing nails, riding horses, fishing, and being with family and friends. In the fall, she will attend NMCC for the Early Childhood Education program and will then transfer to UMPI for a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Congratulations, Delilah!

Senior Spotlight: Nick Kervin

Nick is graduating with the Class of 2026. He has participated in the Region Two Auto Collision program for three years. Nick has also received Honor Roll in high school. He spent his high school career working at T&S Market. In his free time, Nick enjoys sledding, hunting, fishing, and jeeping. After high school, he plans to continue working. Congratulations, Nick!

A group of middle school students visited the University of Maine today to attend the Maine Learning Technology Initiative Student Conference, where they engaged in various activities focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Throughout the day, students explored multiple disciplines, including creating video games, operating drones, programming electric cars, designing 3-D objects, and developing hands-on projects!

Senior Spotlight: Samantha Reeves

In her high school career, Samantha has been very involved through JMG and Region Two. As a JMG officer, she has completed microcredentials and has earned the Maine Career Exploration Badge. Within the community, she helped out at the Veteran’s Day Breakfast multiple times, set up for Winter Ball, and was security at Mossestompers. At Region Two, she has spent 3 years in the Criminal Justice program, being a Squad Leader and an Officer for 2 of those years. Academically, Sam has earned Student of the Month, been on Honor Roll, and received Best in Class for Criminal Justice. She works at McDonalds and enjoys reading and poetry in her free time. Following graduation, she will attend UMPI for the Criminal Justice program. Congratulations, Sam!

This is a reminder to families of students who are going to the MLTI Student Conference (STEM trip) tomorrow. Please have your child at the high school by 5:50 am. We need to leave by 6:00 sharp.
