Today, four years after the horrific massacre at Robb Elementary, we remember the 19 students and two teachers who lost their lives. We stand with the Uvalde community, families, and survivors in the fight for a Texas where students can learn safely and without fear.

Although many towns here in the county don’t have elections today, Levelland and Smyer have their city elections today while Sundown has their school elections.

If you live in those three towns, make sure to get out and vote and make your voices heard.

Short Term Solution: Get more states to follow California’s and Virginia’s lead in countering the Trump/Abbott gerrymandering wars.

Long Term Solution: Elect Rep. Gina Hinojosa as our next Governor, Heather Wallace for Texas House of Representatives District 88 as our next state Rep, and Riley Rodriquez for State Senate to undo these undemocratic maps and adopt the Independent Redistricting Commission that over 90% of Democratic primary voters and those outside the party support.

Also, elect our slate of judicial candidates to our Texas State Court system to protect our democracy!

Today the Supreme Court upheld Texas Republicans’ Congressional map designed to dilute the voting power of black and brown Texans. Our efforts to organize, turn out, and win anyway will not be deterred.
