💙After 19 incredible years of shaping young minds, inspiring curiosity, and welcoming our youngest NS Bears into the North Star family, Mr. John McIntyre is retiring!💙

Over nearly two decades, Mr. McIntyre has touched the lives of countless students and families with his kindness, patience, humor, and dedication. For many children, he was their very first teacher at North Star—the one who helped calm first-day jitters, celebrated milestones, encouraged confidence, and helped foster a lifelong love of learning.

As we celebrate his retirement, his family is creating a special memory book filled with stories, memories, photos, and well wishes from the students, families, colleagues, and friends whose lives he has impacted.

☀️💙 What a perfect day for the annual 5th Grade Pool Party!!

A HUGE thank you to the North Star Swim Club
and their fantastic lifeguards, DJ Taven Entertainment, our teachers, and parent volunteers for helping make this special tradition possible.

With beautiful weather, great friends, lots of laughter, and memories made — it was the perfect way for our 5th graders to celebrate the end of their elementary school journey.

💙⭐ One More Meeting, One Big Reveal! ⭐💙

Can you believe we’re already at the end of another amazing school year?

Join us for our final North Star PTA meeting on Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 PM (in the library or virtually) as we take a look back at everything we accomplished together this year.

Because of the support of our incredible North Star families, we were able to provide:
✨ Family engagement events
✨ Teacher & staff reimbursements
✨ Instructional support grants
✨ Fundraising initiatives that give back to our school community

And the best part? 🎁

We’ll be sharing our End-of-the-Year Gift to North Star—a special project made possible through your support, participation, and generosity throughout the year. We can’t wait to reveal it!

We hope you’ll join us as we close out a fantastic year and celebrate what our North Star community can accomplish when we work together.
