WHAT DO YOU WANT TO LEARN ABOUT? 🐊🐦🌿
At the Kimbell Education & Visitor Center, you can turn a day at Jonathan Dickinson State Park into an adventure in discovery.

Choose your curiosity:
🐦 Learn the basics of birding
🔥 Discover why prescribed fire matters
🐊 Get to know the life of an alligator
🦋 Explore the world of insects
🌎 Dive into Florida geology and natural history
🥾 Hit the trails on a guided nature walk
🦎 Look for wildlife tracks and signs
🏕️ Learn campfire cooking and safety

Programs range from about 45 minutes to 1½ hours, and many include a guided hike. All programs are free—and donations are always welcome.

Over the past year, the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park provided more than $50,000 in cash, equipment, and support to benefit the park.

As the park's official Citizens Support Organization, we're proud to help fund projects, programs, and improvements that enhance the visitor experience, support park staff, and protect the park's incredible natural resources.

Every membership, donation, and volunteer hour makes a difference—and together, we're helping ensure Jonathan Dickinson State Park remains one of Florida's most treasured outdoor destinations for generations to come.
