If you’ve lost someone who meant the world to you, I invite you to honor their life in a beautiful and meaningful way. On September 11th, our community will come together for a Mass Butterfly Release — a moment of remembrance, unity, and healing.

You can purchase a butterfly in memory of someone who touched your life. When those butterflies take flight, every single one represents a story, a legacy, and a love that continues.

Butterflies are $25 each, and every purchase supports individuals at Leaders with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

If someone special comes to mind — a family member, friend, mentor, or loved one — this is a powerful way to keep their memory alive.

🎥 HFD 1st Annual P.A.T. & Community Day! 🎥

💪🔥 On Saturday, June 27th, we hosted our first-ever Physical Ability Test (P.A.T.) and Community Day at Station 1, and Hobbs, you showed UP!

▶ Enjoy this incredible video highlighting this fantastic event; you'll feel like you were there!

Participants stepped up to the challenge and experienced firsthand what it takes to answer the call, tackling actual firefighter training drills and getting a small taste of what it takes to be a firefighter!

👏 A massive THANK YOU to everyone in our community who came out to test their strength and endurance, cheer on family and friends, and support the Hobbs Fire Department. We loved seeing such awesome participation and friendly competition from our residents, local leaders, city staff, and partner public safety agencies! A big shout-out to the Hobbs Police Department, the Lea County Sheriff’s Explorers, and any other first-responder representatives on hand at Station 1 that day! You represented your organizations admirably, and you should be proud.
