Exciting News for the City of Hobbs!

The City of Hobbs is proud to announce that Anthony Henry has been named our new Utilities Director!

Said the City Manager's Office: "Anthony's appointment reflects his dedication to public service, his commitment to the City of Hobbs, and the valuable experience he has gained throughout his career with the organization. We are confident he will continue to serve our employees, residents, and community with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence."

While he transitions from his current role as City Engineer, we are excited to see the impact his leadership will bring to our essential services.

A Word from Anthony
"I’ve had the privilege of serving the City of Hobbs in the Engineering Department for many years. During that time, I’ve been closely involved with the City’s infrastructure, from projects like the Trunk Line F Sewer Replacement to waterline upgrades, roadway and drainage improvements, ADA and sidewalk projects, lift stations, pump stations, electrical upgrades, landscaping, and streetscape work, just to name a few. Moving into the Utilities Director position lets me take that technical foundation and focus more on people, supporting the incredible team that keeps our critical utility systems running for our residents."

Looking Ahead
"My goal is to not just maintain what we have, but to build a reliable, resilient, forward thinking utility that supports Hobbs’ growth for years to come. I am incredibly excited to step into the role of Utilities Director for the City of Hobbs."

Please join us in congratulating Anthony on this new role! We are thrilled to have him leading such a critical part of our team.
