Over the past two weeks, our newest recruits have been hard at work completing orientation and training with the Hobart Fire Department. From learning department procedures and equipment to preparing for the challenges of serving our community, they have demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

This week marks an exciting milestone as they begin their first shifts with their assigned crews. We wish each of them the best of luck as they start their careers serving the residents of Hobart.

Over the past two weeks, Hobart Fire Department personnel have been participating in a State EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) certification program. This hands-on training focused on the safe and effective operation of our ambulances, SUVs, and other smaller emergency response vehicles.

The course challenged our members with real-world driving scenarios, vehicle dynamics, emergency response techniques, and defensive driving skills designed to enhance both firefighter and public safety.

Continuous training is essential to maintaining the highest level of service for our community. We are proud of our members for their dedication and commitment to professional development.
