⚠️ Severe Thunderstorm Warning ⚠️

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Allen County until 11:30 PM.

An active line of severe storms is currently moving toward the Madison Township/Hoagland area. These storms may produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall, dangerous lightning, and possible hail.

On May 18, 2026, Hoagland Volunteer Fire & EMS formally shared its support with the Allen County Commissioners for joining the Allen County Fire & EMS District- ACFD.
In the letter, department leadership emphasized the importance of working together to strengthen fire protection and emergency medical services for our community. Our leaders highlighted that a unified district would help provide and maintain high-quality service, improve response capabilities, and address the evolving needs of residents in southeast Allen County.

Hoagland Fire & EMS also made it clear that any transition should protect the integrity of service to the Hoagland community, while recognizing the value of its personnel, equipment, and long-standing local investment.

With full support from both volunteers and command staff, the department reaffirmed its commitment to providing reliable, professional emergency services, just as it has for decades.

As our nation prepares to celebrate America's 250th birthday, Hoagland Volunteer Fire & EMS is proud to recognize this historic milestone and reflect on the values that continue to unite our community and country.

Every day, our firefighters and EMS personnel have the privilege of serving the people of Hoagland and Madison Township. In doing so, we represent more than emergency services, we represent a community built on service, dedication, patriotism, and pride.

Those values can be seen throughout our community. From neighbors helping neighbors to our local high school, where the Patriot mascot serves as a reminder of our nation's heritage, Hoagland has long embraced the spirit that makes America strong.

Over the coming months, we look forward to celebrating our nation's 250th anniversary by highlighting the patriotism, gratitude, and community spirit that define both our country and our hometown.

As part of this celebration, we encourage everyone to proudly demonstrate their patriotism by illuminating their homes in red, white, and blue, volunteering within the community, recognize opportunities to serve others, and embrace the values that unite us rather than the differences that divide us.

This coming Thursday June 4th from 5-9 come on out to the Monroeville Car Show and summer concert series kickoff concert! The MVFD will be selling Sausage Sandwiches, chips and beverages.

For nearly 100 years, we have had the honor to serve a community rich in heritage and patriotism, where generations have come together to support one another. It’s a principle that mirrors the very ideals our country was founded upon: service, sacrifice, and commitment to the greater good.

As we reflect on the past and look toward the future, we remain dedicated to carrying on that tradition of service with pride.
