We Need Your Help

To Our West Virginia Communities,

Family Support Centers across West Virginia provide critical services that strengthen families, support children, and build healthier communities. Through parenting education, family activities, referrals to community resources, support groups, kinship support, and prevention-focused programming, Family Support Centers help families navigate challenges and access the support they need to thrive.

We are grateful to the West Virginia Legislature for recognizing the importance of these services and approving funding for Family Support Centers in the state budget. Their support demonstrates a commitment to strengthening families and investing in the future of our communities.

As we move toward a new fiscal year, funding for Family Support Centers remains uncertain. We want state leaders, specifically Governor Patrick Morrisey, to understand the meaningful impact these programs have on families in every region of West Virginia.

Every day, Family Support Centers help parents build confidence, connect families with resources, reduce isolation, support healthy child development, and create opportunities for families to succeed. These services are preventive, community-based, and designed to strengthen the protective factors that help children and families flourish.

We encourage community members, partner organizations, and families to contact Governor Morrisey and urge him to renew and fully fund our state contract. Sharing why Family Support Centers matter to you - personal stories and local experiences - help demonstrate the value these programs bring to communities throughout the Mountain State.

Together, we can continue building stronger families, stronger communities, and a stronger West Virginia.

Thank you for your support and for helping ensure that Family Support Centers remain available to the families who rely on them.
