Hinsdale Village Caucus

Hinsdale Village Caucus The Caucus is a more than 200-year-old process that helps to choose government officials in smaller communities and villages such as Hinsdale.

Serving the community for over 75 years, the Hinsdale Caucus has provided a non-partisan method of identifying and supporting candidates for Village Board president and trustees, the District 181 (elementary) School Board and the Library Board.

CANDIDATES

05/09/2016

The first General Meeting of the Hinsdale Caucus will be held on Tuesday, May 10th at 7 pm at the Hinsdale Public Library.

Please plan to attend and bring a friend! For those who cannot attend, we will allow registered voters to present themselves as delegates by submitting their name, address, phone and email along with their Elementary School attendance area to any Caucus Exec Committee member prior to May 10.

For future planning the Second General Meeting will be held Monday June 6th at 7 pm at the Hinsdale Public Library. Names will be drawn and committees formed at that time, and then the real work of the Caucus begins.

The greater our pool of committed neighbors, the better! Please make it a point to recruit one other person to bring to our group!

Please email info on potential delegates to the Caucus Email - [email protected]

You may also contact any of the members of the executive committee directly:

Congratulations to all of our caucus endorsed candidates and their well earned victories tonight! We are grateful that the voters saw the same things we did and voted them into office today. We look forward to the next four years and thank the candidates for stepping up to serve their communities.

Village Board: Kim Angelo, Chris Elder and Luke Stifflear

Library Board: Margaret Berg, Julie Liesse and Laura Tortorello

D181 School Board: Jennifer Burns, Richard Giltner, Leslie Gray and Marty Turek

And a thank you is also due to the non-caucus candidates for D181 School Board, John Czerwiec and Amy McCurry. Your willingness to serve the community is noble and much appreciated. And your conduct during the campaign was respectful and admirable, and helped to enable a worthy and informative discussion of the issues.
