Last chance to get tickets! Calling all mushroom enthusiasts! Interested in learning how to identify mushrooms and other delicious local wild edibles? Join experienced forager, Diana Burnell, this Saturday, September 5, for a Mushroom Walk through Whitney and Thayer Woods, Weir River Farm, and Turkey Hill! This walk is perfect for the forager/mushroom enthusiast, outdoor enthusiast, foodie or vegetarian.

We will review how to properly identify mushrooms and wild edibles, discuss sustainable harvesting and local laws, and collect specimens to study. Learn 15-20 mushroom species that are available now, as well as a variety of non-edible/poisonous fungi, plants and herbs.

This walk is ideal for beginners, but experienced foragers are also welcome!
