Today we had the honor of picking up where Hull Police and Fire left off, escorting Papas Rehabilitation Hospital’s annual boat ride on the water — a longstanding Nantasket Beach Saltwater Club tradition.

The children spent a short time aboard the lobster boats, getting an up-close look at our police boats and Boston Fire’s boat along the way — including an incredible water display that had everyone’s eyes on the sky. Moments like these are exactly why we do what we do.

And a HUGE thank you to the lobstermen who brought these children aboard their boats. You turned a boat ride into a memory these kids will carry for life. That’s the spirit of this harbor — no cape required, just a boat and a big heart. Fire DepartmentMass Lobstermen's Association

Nothing matches the symphony of twin Mercury V10 400s cranking out the RPMs. Tomorrow will be a brighter day!

The daylight is noticeably slipping away, and twilight arrives a little earlier with each passing evening. While the boating season is winding down, the water hasn't called it quits just yet. There are still plenty of glorious, sun-drenched days left on the horizon—topped off by gorgeous, golden-hour sunsets—even if the daylight vanishes just a bit faster now.

A view that simply never gets old.

Ever noticed this fishing vessel making frequent stops in the inner harbor?
We caught up with the crew today! Turns out, they’re hard at work catching bait so they can bring in the real prize: fresh, delicious lobster for all our local lobster fans (me included!). And for those wondering—yes, they’re pulling in plenty of fish, but they’re fully within their legal limits and following all Commonwealth fishing regulations. The Environmental Police even dropped by to give them the official stamp of approval.
Watching these guys throw their net with flawless ex*****on. Next time you see them out on the water, sit back and enjoy the show!

Noticed extra activity in the Inner Harbor this afternoon? Here’s what happened: a beginner sailor capsized and had trouble righting the boat. Multiple people did exactly the right thing and called it in — and our Harbor Master boat along with the USCG responded immediately.

Every call for assistance gets a priority response until we’ve confirmed there’s no distress or urgency involved. We’d rather roll on a false alarm than risk a delayed response to someone who really needs us.

After being towed in by a Good Samaritan, the sailor headed back out — and capsized again, prompting a second round of calls. Practice makes perfect, folks!

Great outcome today, and a great reminder of how important it is to say something when you see something on the water that doesn’t look right. Thank you to everyone who called — glad everyone’s okay!

Mission complete in Hingham’s Outer Harbor. Wrapped up a successful aerial inspection. Now cruising back to base at the Hingham Shipyard to close out the flight. Great conditions for coastal drone ops today! Return altitude two-zero-zero AGL at three-one knots (36 mph). Footage accelerated 10x for viewing experience.
