Pete will share how CGMAC advocates for Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and the military presence that is so important to Hinesville, Liberty County, and our entire region.

The Hinesville Rotary Club will NOT meet tomorrow in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

🚗 Learning, laughter, and a few surprise high-fives! ✋

We had another wonderful Rotary meeting this past Tuesday! A special thank-you to our guest speaker, Mrs. Jo Dawson, for her informative presentation on the AARP Smart Driver Program. She shared valuable information about improving driving skills, increasing safety awareness, navigating modern vehicle technology, and helping drivers remain confident and independent behind the wheel.

Our newest member also presented her vocational talk, giving us the opportunity to learn more about her life, career, and the talents she brings to our club. We are so happy to have her as part of our Rotary family!

Of course, we sprinkled in a little fun by secretly assigning members different tasks throughout the meeting. Jeff fully committed to his mission of handing out high-fives—and the pictures prove it! 😂 Thank you for being such a great sport, Jeff!

Great information, stronger connections, community spirit, and plenty of smiles—that’s what Rotary is all about! 💙💛

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, Dr. Karen Bell, a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Hinesville and our Membership Chair, on two very well-deserved honors in the Coastal Courier’s 2026 Best of Liberty Readers’ Choice Awards! 💙💛

Dr. Bell continually gives her time, energy, heart, and leadership to making Liberty County a better place. Whether she is serving through Rotary, Keep Liberty Beautiful, or one of the many other causes she supports, she truly embodies Service Above Self.

This recognition is also a testament to the tremendous amount of passion and hard work Dr. Bell continues to pour into Relay For Life. 💙 An Eye-Opening and Informative Rotary Meeting 💙

Our Rotary Club had an incredible meeting Tuesday as we welcomed Kate from Tharros Place. She shared valuable information about human trafficking, including how it can happen in our own communities, warning signs to recognize, and ways we can help protect and support vulnerable young people.

The conversation was powerful, informative, and a reminder that awareness is one of the first steps toward prevention. Human trafficking may be difficult to discuss, but it is far too important to ignore.

A heartfelt thank-you to Kate for educating our members and for the meaningful work Tharros Place does to provide hope, healing, and support to survivors. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and took the time to learn more about this critical issue.

Together, we can stay informed, speak up, and help create a safer community. 💙

Human trafficking awareness and prevention are especially important to Rotary this year, and we are excited to learn more about the work being done right here in Coastal Georgia—and how our community can help.

What a GREAT Rotary Tuesday! 💙💛

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Shauntay Harris, Community Development Director for the City of Hinesville, for joining us and giving such an informative presentation on the work happening throughout our community. From neighborhood revitalization and housing initiatives to public improvements and opportunities for our youth, we loved learning more about what’s happening now—and what’s ahead for Hinesville! 👏

We were also thrilled to welcome several guests to our meeting! Thank you for taking time out of your day to join us. We truly loved having you, and we hope this won’t be your last Rotary lunch. 😉 Remember, you don’t have to be a Rotarian to come see what we’re all about—bring a friend and come be our guest!

🎉 And we couldn’t let the week go by without wishing our very own Jeff Ricketson a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Jeff celebrated on August 18th, and we hope his year ahead is a great one!

🥔 Finally… Rotary meetings are now educational AND snack-approved. 😂 A special thank you to Charm Reed for once again making sure we properly celebrated an important national holiday—this time with some delicious chips for National Potato Day! We take our service seriously… but we also take our snacks pretty seriously. 😋

Great speaker. Great guests. Great fellowship. And yes… great chips. 😂
