What an exciting week for our Jr. Detectives!

Our ride-along was a huge success. The Jr. Detectives learned about traffic enforcement, had the opportunity to use a radar gun, and even assisted with scanning a few vehicles alongside our officers.

They also reviewed surveillance footage and got their first look at a suspect in our mock investigation. Using the information gathered, they were able to track down the suspect vehicle and run the tag information as part of their investigation.

The students had the chance to meet real detectives and apply everything they have learned to the mock crime scene. Each Jr. Detective was assigned specific tasks, and they performed their duties flawlessly. Their teamwork, attention to detail, and enthusiasm have been impressive to watch.

Next week, we will reveal our suspect, wrap up the investigation, and celebrate our Jr. Detectives as they graduate from the academy!

We are incredibly proud of all their hard work and can’t wait to see them finish strong!

Wrapping Up the First Week of Jr. Detective Academy!

I am incredibly impressed with our Jr. Detectives and the hard work they put in this week! They successfully interviewed three witnesses, received their official badges and badge numbers, and learned how to secure a crime scene.

Next week, they will continue their investigation by reviewing surveillance footage, collecting evidence, and dusting for fingerprints.

I am so proud of our Jr. Detectives and all they have accomplished so far. I can’t wait to see them in action as they take on the next phase of the investigation next week!

Great job, Jr. Detectives! 🕵️‍♂️🔍🚔

🚔🔎 It’s a wrap! We successfully completed Day 1 of our Junior Detective Academy!

Our Jr. Detectives kicked off the day with introductions, a visit to 911 Communications, and a tour of the police department. From there, they dove right into our mock crime scene investigation!

The Jr. Detectives carefully examined the crime scene, took detailed notes, and shared their thoughts on potential clues and evidence. Their observation skills and teamwork were impressive as they began piecing together the facts of the case.

On Thursday, we’ll head into the Patrol Division to learn more about the role patrol officers play and discover what comes next in the investigation.

We can’t wait to continue the case with our future detectives! 🚓🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️
