For the middle-grade reader in your life (ages 8 to 12), grab this book from our Book Sale Shelves!

When ravens begin following Cutie Grackle, they guide her toward a quest to break her family's curse--a destiny that is hers alone.

Free-will donations are accepted for books on our Book Sale Shelves (to your right as you walk in to the library). Donations help our group, the Friends of the Hinckley Public Library, provide support for the library and its programming!

📚 There are still a few spots open for Growing Readers- our new reading mentorship program-at the Princeton, North Branch, Hinckley, Mora, and Sandstone branches! Sign up now to participate in the summer session, which begins the week of June 15.

About Growing Readers: Watch your child's confidence soar as they discover the joy of reading and achieve personalized goals!

✨ We will pair readers in 1st-5th grade with a volunteer mentor to practice reading once a week for 8 weeks. Each 45 minute session includes time for reading, games, and activities designed to build literacy skills.

To participate in the program, students must:

🗹 Be in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
🗹 Read below grade level.
🗹 Be able to meet with their volunteer mentor at the library every week on the same day and time.

Growing Readers sessions are fun learning experiences where students have a safe place to practice their skills and build a relationship with a caring mentor.

✨ Registration
Students will automatically be signed up for the same day/time for the whole Growing Readers season when they register. Students may ONLY sign up for one weekly timeslot during the Growing Readers program. Duplicate registrations will be canceled.
