Mrs. Ryman’s trophy arrived by special delivery today!🏆

Congratulations to BCSD’s Assistant Principal of the Year!🎉 This beautiful trophy and recognition are so incredibly well deserved. We are beyond thankful for all Mrs. Ryman does each and every day for the students, staff, and families of HHIE. Her dedication and leadership make such a difference in our school community. We are so proud of you!❤️

Last week, Mrs. Hummel's 2nd grade students were inquirers and thinkers as they tasted different types of apples and collected data about their favorites. They worked as communicators to share their opinions and then used their data to create a picture graph. Finally, they demonstrated their growing skills as knowledgeable mathematicians by turning their picture graph into a bar graph to compare and analyze the results! 🍎🍏

🍂 Fall Club Signups Are Here! 🍂

Fall Club signup forms are coming home today in students' yellow folders. Please remember that club registrations are first come, first served, and spots fill up quickly!

To secure your child's spot, cash or check payment must be submitted with the signup form in order for registration to be processed.

Please note that the deadline on the printed forms coming home is incorrect. The correct deadline to signup is September 21st.

We look forward to another fun season of clubs!

We remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and stand in solidarity with the families who lost loved ones and were forever changed by the day's events. We honor the unwavering dedication of the first responders and all those who sprang into action—many laying down their lives to save others. May their remarkable courage, kindness, and sacrifice never be forgotten, and may their example inspire us to be better versions of ourselves.

Nothing brings a story to life like reading together! 📖 Last week, Principal, Mrs. Brockway visited the 1st Grade Chinese Immersion classroom to share a book and connect with our young learners. Experiences like these strengthen literacy skills and inspire a lifelong love of reading!
