🚨FACT CHECK: This is flat-out wrong.

If you actually read Proposition 39, you'd know it protects every legal vote with commonsense voter ID, citizenship verification, and cleaner voter rolls. Nothing in Proposition 39 gives the federal government control over California's elections. That's simply false.

A majority of Californians support voter ID, including the nearly 1.3 million Californians who signed our petition. Becerra is attacking the will of the voters—not defending democracy.

Voter ID isn't a partisan issue, it's a common-sense issue.
Democrat James Carville says that voter ID polls at around 75% and states should pass it.
