It's almost time for Hillsborough to celebrate America's 250th birthday!
The party kicks off at 5:00 p.m. on June 27th at Auten Road School. The evening starts with a look back at our roots, featuring a reenactment by Boy Scout Troop 1776 and a performance of The Rogue’s March by the West Jersey Artillery’s Fife and Drum brigade.
Things take a modern turn at 7:00 p.m. when the Somerville School of Rock takes the stage, with the New Jersey Harmony Chorus keeping the energy high during intermission with some patriotic favorites. Between the music, you can explore inflatable amusements, carnival games, and local community booths, or grab a bite at the food tent, which will be stocked with pizza, burgers, hot dogs, and kettle corn.
We are especially excited about the special commemorative family photo booth, where you can capture memories of the milestone. And don't forget to stop by the tents to grab some commemorative souvenirs to take home.
As a quick reminder, there is no public parking available at Auten Road School for this event. Instead, you can park at Hillsborough High School and catch a free shuttle bus, with service starting right at 5:00 p.m. We hope to see as many community members as possible to help ring in this incredible milestone birthday together.
