These men and women that do this job mean so much to me. I have had the privilege of working with some of the best telecommunicators over the past 20 years. These folks do more than just answer a phone and send first responders to the scene. They are the first voice of calm and reason when somebody is in the midst of a stressful and maybe tragic time of their life. They are not only the Guardian Angles of those calling but also the Guardian Angels for us first responders. They have to coordinate and get resources to the scenes of an incident and handle so much multitasking without being able to see what is actually taking place. If you know someone who is in this position, thank them!
