📢 Office Closing Early Today

Our office will be closing at 4:00 p.m. today so our staff can participate in the National Night Out event.

Be sure to stop by and visit us! We'll have activities and information for everyone, including:

🗳️ Experience the voting process with a mock election (ballots available for both kids and adults)
📝 Register to vote or update your voter registration
📬 Complete an absentee ballot request form
✅ Learn how to become a paid Precinct Election Official

There are not Questions, Issues, or Candidates on it yet due to not being certified since filing deadline is August 5th by 4:00p in our office.

We have received several calls from Highland County residents regarding mail they have received stating that someone may not be registered to vote in Ohio. In many cases, these mailings have unfortunately been addressed to family members of individuals who have passed away.

Please know that these notices are not being sent by the Highland County Board of Elections. They are being distributed by a third-party organization, and we have no ability to prevent them from being mailed.

We sincerely apologize for the distress these mailings may cause to families who have lost a loved one.

If you would like us to review an individual's voter registration record, please contact our office at 937-393-9961 or email us at [email protected] with the person's name and date of birth. We will be happy to review the record and verify that their voter registration status has been updated appropriately.

Today was a bittersweet day in our office as we said goodbye to Hunter on his last day.

Over the past three years, Hunter has played an incredible role in helping our office grow and succeed. From creating step-by-step guides that kept our processes organized, to training our precinct election officials, to building strong relationships not only within our county but with neighboring counties, his dedication and hard work have left a lasting impact.

Beyond the work, we’ve shared countless memories, laughs, and experiences that have turned coworkers into lifelong friends. Hunter, your contributions to this office and the friendships you’ve built will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We wish you nothing but the best as you begin this next chapter of your journey. Thank you for everything you’ve done—you will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Best of luck on this crazy ride called life!

Board of Elections will be holding an emergency meeting today, June 22, 2026, at 4:00p to discuss employment change.

Our office will be closed Monday, June 8th, and Tuesday, June 9th. We will resume regular business hours Wednesday, June 10th. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

First, we cannot thank everyone enough for helping with May’s election. Your support is what makes a successful election possible, and we truly appreciate all of your hard work.

Poll worker checks were mailed yesterday. Please allow time for USPS to process and deliver them.

If you have not received your check by June 22, please contact our office by email at [email protected] or by phone at 937-393-9961. We will be happy to assist you and provide any available information.

Please do not contact the Auditor’s Office regarding a missing poll worker check, as they are unable to assist with check distribution inquiries.
