A Personal Message from Ahava Gleaners
To Our Community Families

Serving this great community has been one of the greatest honors for many of our volunteers and long standing members.
Because of unexpected changes to our facility access,
AHAVA GLEANERS IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR OUR WEEKLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION AT ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL CHURCH .
We are working diligently to secure a new location. to reopen as soon as possible.
This pause is difficult — for us and for the families we care so deeply about — but please know that our hearts, our mission, and our commitment to this community have not changed. We are working hard every day to return to serving you as soon as possible. You matter to us. Your families matter to us. And we are deeply grateful that we were able to support you during important moments in your lives, and we look forward to doing so again.
This is not goodbye. This is a temporary season.

WE ARE OPEN TODAY - STARTING AT 12 PM, because we are outside in the cold, and any other type of weather there might be.... WE MIGHT CLOSE EARLY (Before 2pm) .
This is our final distribution at All Saints Episcopal Church in Hillsboro. I did not want to cause confusion so I have not updated with a future closure notice. I will put that out today.
SO IF YOU NEED FOOD, TODAY IS A GREAT DAY TO SHOW UP AT 12PM. SEE YOU THEN.

BREAKING: Our Baskets of Joy Registration hit its limit in record time!
We need your help to fill these baskets. We are serving over 500 children ages 0-17, and any gift helps with bringing Joy and showing love this season.

With Cyber Monday almost over, and of course Giving Tuesday on its heals, I thought I would share our Amazon Wish List . This is the largest list of children we have ever signed up this early in December. We opened our list up at 12:01a.m. this morning, and had reached over our limit by 7:15a.m. and had to close the link.
So, needless to say, we are in great need, and any help you can provide is appreciated and needed.
May you be blessed beyond measure this season and throughout your life.

Thank you Sunshine Division, Safeway, Albertsons and COMMUNITY MEMBERS!
We were able to hand out Turkey Kits ( a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and rolls)
On Monday evening for 42 families needing an extension of love, acceptance and support this holiday.
We handed these out in the drizzle, the dark and all with NO coffee or hot cocoa. Lol
Thank you all who made all this happen!

Well, my last auction on BUY WANDER was today

Drove in the rain on interstate, holiday 84 traffic. 2 hours to make it to our appointment time where we were told that there was a bathroom here because we did there from the very beginning welcome to buy wander and we're showing the bathrooms and how you can just walk in and talk with someone but because they've moved to curbside they've taken away the bathrooms but they didn't tell anybody and then made us feel like s*** when we went to try to ask for a bathroom.

I spend at least $100 a week here and now we won't spend any more.

What is on our minds - is the wonderful and awesome community here celebrating Sewa Diwali. The annual Food Drive is a month long collection, that will be bring dropped off with us tomorrow and Sunday.
This drive brings in almost 8-10,000 lbs of food each year.
And due to all the changes with the SNAP dollars earlier this month, the timing couldn't be more perfect.
THANK YOU TO THIS WONDERFUL AND CARING COMMUNITY!

We are open tomorrow for regular food distribution. Our numbers have been increasing since our move to Hillsboro. We have been helping over 130-150 families every Saturday.
We are really enjoying being a part of this new community at All Saints Parish, and Hillsboro neighbors. Thank you for the warm welcome, and the wonderful support.

DISTRIBUTION TOMORROW MARCH 15TH, 2025 HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
We will reopen March 22nd, 2025 normal hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused. But due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to pick up the Food needed to hold a full distribution.

If you are in need of emergency food, please reach out and we will do our best to help you any way we can.
