We are excited to help support Kathie Hatley in purchasing a new wheelchair accessible van. Last December, Kathie was involved in a motor vehicle accident, and her previous van was totaled leaving her without a means of transportation. Kathie is a long-time Hillsoro resident, a loving mother and grandmother, and a champion to the community to which she has served for several decades volunteering her time with the Hillsboro school district. Thanks Kathie for all that you have done and continue to do, it is an honor to help out.

Good morning! A friendly reminder that this week is the last week for our toy barrels to be out. We will be collecting all the toy barrels and begin inventory and packaging this weekend. Don't forget to donate a new and unwrapped toy to any of our Hillsboro Fire stations, The Shute park aquatic center or Longbottom Coffee and Tea, Inc. by this Friday. Another option is to shop in person or online at Piccolo Mondo toy store. Thank you all for supporting local children in need this Holiday season.

Dearest Community,
The time is upon us to be festive and spread holiday cheer. One way to do that is to donate a new and unwrapped gift for those in need this holiday season. You can donate to any of our Hillsboro fire stations, The SHARC, or Longbottom Coffee and Tea, Inc. Every year Hillsboro Firefighters work with the Hillsboro Elks Lodge to bring holiday cheer to those in need in our community and we need your help as well. The Holidays are upon us which means Toy and Joy is in Full swing! Lets make this year joyous for our community members who are in need. What can you do??? Donate any new and unwrapped toy to any of our Hillsboro Fire stations or the Shute Park aquatic center. Or shop online with Piccolo Mondo Toy stores and support a local Hillsboro business while you donate!

In partnership with Hillsboro Elks Lodge #1862, we were able to support nearly 600 families, including 1,600 kids, through Toy & Joy.

Random Acts purchased 600 toys and 300 games totaling $15,500.

Thank you to everyone who donated to help brighten the holiday for these families and kids!

Our Toy and Joy program is providing gifts for 628 families and 1,748 children in Hillsboro this year.

This program is made possible by businesses coming together to donate money, host barrels, and hold toy drives.

That’s a wrap on Toy & Joy 2021!

Because of generous donations, we’re able to help 628 families and 1,748 children this year.

Firefighters and their families spent more than $11,900 in Toy & Joy donations and HFRA funds to add to the stash of gifts.

Thank you to all of our business partners, individual donors, and volunteers who shopped for making this year a success.
