New blog post!
Over the next 2 decades, at least 10 million acres, or 64% of Oregon’s agricultural land, will change owners. What are the future of these farms? To help set farmers up for success, Tualatin SWCD offered two free half-day workshops to support local farmers in their succession planning journey.

Read all about it here: https://tualatinswcd.org/succession-planning-workshops-2026/

Keep a sharp eye out for Oblong spurge (Euphorbia oblongata) because:
🤢 Oblong spurge contains an irritating sap
🤯 Oblong spurge can eject its seeds up to six feet!

What you can do:
📲 Report sightings at OregonInvasivesHotline.org.
🙅‍♂️ Do not mow or pull in summer – this causes it to spread.
🤑 Tualatin SWCD can remove this plant for FREE!

We had a wonderful time celebrating community, love, authenticity, and belonging at Pride in the Park with Pride Beaverton this past weekend!🌈

This was Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District’s first Pride event and we loved seeing all joyful faces from kids to parents, to even furry friends! Alex, Anna, & Trevor connected with over 300+ individuals throughout the day while sharing fun educational posters, pollinator seed mixes, mini sunscreen bottles, infographics, and our beloved biodegradable glitter because who doesn’t want to see more sparkle in the world?✨

We are proud and honored to have attended the event and support the LGTBQIA+ community. Conservation work in our diverse communities can only happen when every person feels seen, valued, and welcomed!🪱🩷
