Graham County-USD 281 serves approximately 382 students from Hill City, Bogue, Morland, Nicodemus, Damar, St. Our staff includes 1 superintendent, 2 building administrators, 2

counselors, 35 certified teachers, and 21 classified staff members. We are members of the Northwest Kansas Educational Service Center and Smoky Hill Education Service Center. The next accreditation cycle runs Fall 2022-Spring 2027. During this time we will conduct a needs assessment, establish goals, and work to continually improve various aspects of our district such as student achievement and climate and culture. The USD 281 Board of Education has supported a variety of initiatives including:
-Secured entry and access at all doors in both buildings
-Ongoing maintenance and keeping all buildings updated and safe
-Technology in the classrooms and in the hands of the students

HILL CITY GRADE SCHOOL
Hill City Grade School hosts students in grades K-6; approximately 209 students are enrolled at HCGS. In addition, HCGS houses the Graham County Early Childhood Department which serves 33 pre-school students. Students enjoy a variety of regular classroom activities as well as music and PE every day. Additional HCGS information:
-Small class sizes
-Active PTO
-1:1 iPads for K-2nd students
-1:1 laptops for 3rd-6th students
-Interactive panels in all classrooms
-Full time health aide
-Full time Counselor
-Full time Librarian Aide- book check-out throughout the day.

HILL CITY JUNIOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Hill City Junior Senior High School has an enrollment of approximately 173 students in grades 7-12. In addition to core classes, we offer a range of electives: FACS, Art, Crafts, Band, Vocal Music, Agriculture, Technology, and Industrial Arts. We also offer six Career & Technical Education Pathways: Construction and Design; Family, Community, and Consumer Services; Web and Digital Communications; Power, Structural, and Technical Systems; Comprehensive Agricultural Science; and Teaching/Training. Additional HCJSHS information:

-High graduation rate
-Active Booster Club
-1:1 laptops for 7-12th students
-Interactive panels in all classrooms
In addition to academics, HCJSHS is a 2A high school offering a wide range of activities: cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, football, basketball, wrestling, track, golf, Scholar’s Bowl, Science Olympiad, Student Council, FCCLA, KAY, FFA, Pep Club, and an annual school play.
